Today was a another glorious day down in Melbourne! An early morning business meeting at 7am started the day, then it was back to the office for a few hours. Later that afternoon we met Kat, Lorraine and her boyfriend Max, for dinner at Clay Pot! We had two large fish with an assortment of vegetable dishes to start, accompanied by a bottle of champagne. After a tasty dinner, we headed down to the boardwalk in hopes of catching the March of the Penguins from one side of the beach to the other and of course they never showed, with the exception of a few of them here and there, cleverly hiding in between the rocks, probably laughing at us. Nonetheless, we had a sunset!
Tatjana and Charles were amazing while planning our wedding, and especially on our wedding day. The photography was beautiful, and the prints are spectacular. They really went above and beyond. Every photograph had such lovely attention to detail. It must have been challenging shooting a wedding in a crowded park in New York, but all the photos came out great, and didn’t have any bystanders in the background. Looking at the pictures now, it feels like we were alone in a fantastic garden. They are such fun people too, that we had such a blast hanging out on the wedding day.
Chirag & Sonali’s 2 part engagement has been featured by Polka Dot Bride and we couldn’t have asked for a better welcome to Australia! This is the beginning of a whole new set of adventures, although we still have a few days left here in Hong Kong! In case you missed it, here are part 1 and part 2 of their epic wedding in the village of Pearl River!
Yesterday was another day of ecstasy for our palates and location scouting for our two engagement shoots in Hong Kong this weekend!
For lunch our dear friend Eimund introduced us to Yung Kee, an award winning restaurant known for its roasted goose! The three of us sat down and surrendered our palpitating appetites to the delightful pleasures of roasted goose, slow cooked roast pork, perfectly roasted suckling pig, vegetable fried rice, steamed bok choy and the local rice wine!
After lunch, we wandered about the back streets of Kowloon til nightfall, exploring Kowloon Park and the local markets until this text message exchange between us and Eimund around 5:00pm!
Eimund: Hey T&C; Looks like I’ll be done by 7pm; wanna meet at home and then go for a quick dinner?
Us: Sure thing!
That evening, Tatjana, Eimund, Sedonia and I went to Shanghai Lane and delighted our hearts with, vegetable noodle soup, out of this world soup dumplings, perfectly brewed green tea and an assortment of other goodies!
Here we are for the first time in Hong Kong and are at the home of our dear friends Eimund and Sedonia’s which is but no more than a 10min stroll to the heart of it all. It is 11am in the morning and we’re well rested and all ready to go with not the slightest feeling of jet lag! The sun is shining, the temperature is just perfect and the streets are swarming with the spirit of the locals, expats and restless tourists, who all seem to co-exist peacefully!
As for us, we’re off to find the perfect crispy, sweet, succulent, moist, fatty roast duck!
